OCTOBER 11, 2013
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD
For me, today is not a day of celebration but a day of sober reflection.
My heart cries and bleeds for the millions of children around the world who have been deprived of their innocence, deams, hopes and education because of the actions of their ignorant parents, cultures and probably religion.
I call on you today to stand up and take action. Lend your voice to save the lives of our female children so that the existence of an educated human race is guaranteed in the future.
Stella is very intense as an actor and these days, you rarely find actors who are focused on the craft and forget about the glitz and glamour that come with it. She has it...and she brings it to the table BIG TIME!
Pawel Biel, camera operator "I AM LEGEND" & "THE INCREDIBLE HULK"
Innovative. Dynamic. Intelligent. Super-focused. Driven. Full of Heart. I can't run out of words to describe Stella. Her commitment to everything she gets involved with is second to none and I feel blessed to have worked with her on quite a number of projects. Definitely the MOST POWERFUL and INTENSE actor I have worked with in my 15 year career as a filmmaker.
Daniel Ademinokan, producer/director "UNSPOKEN", "GHETTO DREAMZ", "WHEN IS IT ENOUGH" & "MIX MATCH"

WHEN IS IT ENOUGH SCREENS IN NEW YORK THIS WINTER
Stella Damasus_When Is It EnoughNigerian Actress, Nollywood Actresses
The highly anticipated short film highlighting the issue of domestic violence in Nigeria and is finally making its debut in New York. Based on true events, WIIE was directed by multiple award winning director Daniel Ademinokan and produced by Index Two Studios. We are partnering with SAHARA TV to bring this breathtaking film to a multicultural and multiracial audience in the heart of New York City.
This is a project that is very dear to my heart because I have always been an advocate fighting for the rights of women and children and being able to produce this movie is my way of drawing attention to issues that have led to the rise of domestic violence cases in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
However, this is not just a Nigerian or African problem, it is a global issue.
STELLA DAMASUS STARS IN MIX MATCH, FILMS IN NEW YORK.
MIX MATCH is a new web series based on the lives of the members of a biracial family living in New York City.
Michael Smith (Andrew Herrera) is an American man married to Barbara (Stella Damasus), a Nigerian woman who is highly educated but stuck in her African values, beliefs and ideologies. Together, they raise their two children, Karen (14) and Patrick (10) in New York City.
We experience the issues they face as a biracial couple in New York and see their hilarious, dramatic and sometimes outrageous conflict resolution methods.
